With MMS’s recently enacted requirement for oil
and gas producers operating in U.S. waters to mark temporarily abandoned
wells or sub-sea locations, our GPS smart buoy is perfect for identifying
these sites. We can have our GPS systems installed on any type of buoy.
Our buoys are all high performance, steel buoys that are rugged enough
for use even in rough sea conditions. The GPS unit is satellite up-linked
directly through our company’s website to maintain the status and
health of your buoys position, light status, and battery voltage. We monitor
your buoy’s position twice daily and if your buoy ever moves off
station you are notified immediately of its exact position. The unique
aspect of our system is that our customers can log onto their buoy and
see it transposed onto a nautical chart and get its Lat./Long. whenever
they need to paying only a low-cost, flat, fixed monthly rate. There are
no per position reports as some of our competitors provide.
With no antenna affixed to the buoy that can break or be damaged, you
can be assured that your buoy’s monitoring system is virtually maintenance
free, and with the options of voltage and lighting performance you can
also be assured of the buoy’s operational status. All of our lighted
buoys are custom designed to your specifications with a lighting system,
solar array, and radar reflective day-marks. Give us a call to answer
any questions you may have about our different package arrangements available
for sale or rental.equipment.

The
B/L 620 Buoy is an outstanding buoy for marking obstructions
and for navigation channels. It is custom built as per your needs
and can include a solar array, 3-mile light, GPS system, fog signal
and battery package. The buoy body is made of steel plate and the
eyes for the bridal moorings are welded directly to the body of the
buoy. The day-mark is constructed of mutually perpendicular planes
so that it can also act as an efficient radar reflector.
This buoy, with a normal 6 year maintenance cycle of blasting and
painting has an expected life of 20-25 years. When moored properly
this buoy is capable of weathering even hurricane force winds and
sea conditions. (link to pdf. drawing) |

The
58/14 Buoy is our mid-sized marker buoy used for
water depths of less than 250’. It is constructed of steel and
aluminum and is custom designed to have several options you require,
including a solar array, 3-mile light, GPS system, and battery package.
The day mark for this buoy also is a great radar reflector for maritime
traffic. The 58/14 is made using a steel ball buoy with a diameter
of 58” and a completed total length of 14’. These buoys
have had no problem withstanding sea conditions including 60 mph winds
and 20+ foot seas. Several of our 58/14 buoys were still moored after
the hurricane 2005 season even within 20 miles of Katrina’s
and Rita’s direct paths. These buoys are designed to be a durable
and economical system, and they deliver results. (see link to pdf

Pipeline
and Shallow Water Buoys
Using Wet Tech Energy’s small lighted shallow water and pipeline
marker buoys, our customers have the ability to efficiently mark their
hazards with a lighted buoy in water depths of less than 100’
in a compact, quick response, and cost effective solution. Even if
only temporarily, operators and producers can comply with the USCG
and MMS policies while they await a larger more permanent buoy solution.
These buoys can be transported in a helicopter and can be easily installed
from a small crew or utility boat. Call us for prices and delivery. |

Deck
Equipment/Winches
Using Cross Services (link) Wet Tech Energy is partnered up to have
the skill and the ability of using the best and heaviest work load
winches in the Gulf. Combined with our MBRS and other deck equipment
(tuggers, compressors, and rigging tools) Wet Tech Energy has provided
and installed anchors of up to 30,000 lbs in heavy sea conditions
with a 100% success and incident free record. |

The
Mobile Buoy Recovery System was engineered and constructed
as a mobile A-frame capable of lifting and recovering buoys and mooring
anchors up to 10 Tons. It is easily mobilized onto a utility vessel
with an open stern gate and is utilized to recover buoys effectively,
safely, and without causing damage to the lighting system, the buoy
hull, solar array or to the GPS system. The MBRS can also used for
buoy deployments where it is critical for the anchor blocks to be
lowered down slowly near sub-sea wells or hazardous areas. Our MBRS
saves our customers both time and money compared to utilizing the
existing alternative installation and recovery methods. Give us a
call to answer any questions you may have about our MBRS. |

Mooring
Buoys- Stand By and Back Down Systems
With today’s offshore oilfields being filled with multiple structures
and satellite platforms, having a stand-by buoy moored for field vessels
to tie up to can be critical for quick responses to emergencies, safety,
and convenience. With Wet Tech Energy’s mooring buoys, you have
the option to rent or purchase these systems at a competitive price/rate
and utilize our installation services to install and recover these
systems at a cost much lower than the competition. |
 |
Utilizing
open stern supply vessels, our deck equipment and the Mobile Buoy
Deployment Recovery System (MBDRS) instead of the traditional expensive
anchor handling vessels (AHV), Wet Tech Energy can handle all phases
of getting a stand-by buoy or a back-down buoy system installed in
a safe, convenient location in your field. From initial planning,
survey, design, supply, transportation, and installation, we can customize
a system to meet and exceed your needs. Call us for a full quotation
on a specific system that meets your requirements. |

Benefits
.Convenient for field vessels to safely moor to rather than tying
up to platforms which can cause damage to the vessels and structures
themselves
Custom designed and engineered to hold secure rig support vessels
for drilling operations
Lighted systems available for easy location in the field and/or
fairway systems
Strong mooring systems with anchors up to 30,000 lbs (15T) available
for deployment
No more costly anchor vessels on the payroll- most systems can be
installed using an open stern supply vessel with day-rates between
$8,000 – 19,000 day vs. $20,000- 60,000 + a day for AHV’s
Safe and experienced installation crews
.The ability to share costs with other customers to split the vessel
costs, installation rates and other 3rd party costs
One call and we can handle all planning, design, implementation, and
final job reports
Creating a mooring destination for your field that increases response
times to emergencies and frequent vessel usage |
