My name is Jane Boudreaux. I grew up in Lafayette and now reside in Kaplan. I’m married and have one daughter and one son. We enjoy swimming and playing outdoors together. Growing up, I always wanted to be a part of the dental field. I attended The Acadiana Area Dental College and became a certified dental assistant.

My name is Karen Smith and I am the Financial Coordinator. I reside in Church Point with my wonderful husband, Troy, and we have two beautiful daughters, Samantha and Megan. I have been in the dental field since 2006 and joined Dr. Malone’s team in 2012. I assist our patients with all financial aspects of their care so they can get optimum dental health. When you come to our practice, you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere. We have a great team of professionals who want to give our patients a great experience. Outside of the office, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Karen Smith

Office Manager

Dr. Thimmesch received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was employed by Dr. Malone working as a part time dental assistant while pursuing her degree. She then attended the LSU School of Dentistry where she graduated with honors.

Dr. Thimmesch comes from a dental family. Her mother, Carol Hidalgo, and sister, Elizabeth Tauzin, are dental hygienists. In addition to working with us, Dr. Thimmesch accepted a part time faculty position with LSU teaching both dental and dental hygiene students in their clinic here in Lafayette.

Dr. Thimmesch is the proud parent of two daughters and one son, Anne Katherine, Grace Ellen, and George. In her free time, Dr. Thimmesch enjoys cooking and entertaining with family and friends, and is a running enthusiast. Dr. Thimmesch focuses on full service family dentistry for patients of all ages.

She is a member of:

  • The Acadiana District Dental Association
  • The Academy of General Dentistry and
  • The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
