LIEX 710 Marine Fog Signals: 1/2 Mile and 2 Mile
Wet Tech Energy supplies two FM-approved electronic marine fog signals: the LIEX 710/051 1/2 mile fog signal and the LIEX 710/22 2 mile fog signal. Both are U.S. Coast Guard approved fog horns for offshore platforms, drilling rigs, offshore wind farms, CALM buoys and FPSOs.
LIEX 710/051 1/2-Mile Fog Signal
A 1 LIEX 710 emitter system, U.S. Coast Guard approved for 1/2 mile range with 9.5 W input to the emitter. FM Approved.
LIEX 710/22 2-Mile Fog Signal
A 2 LIEX 710 emitter system, U.S. Coast Guard approved for 2 mile range with 110.3 W input to the emitter. FM Approved.
Fog Signal Features
- Resonates at approximately 670 Hz, a frequency chosen for range rating under both U.S. Coast Guard and IALA criteria
- Omnidirectional audio output
- Microprocessor-based control electronics
- Remote control terminals for a fog detector, a remote coder or an “at will” switch. With a fog detector, the horn sounds automatically in low visibility and stays silent otherwise
- Remote code selector terminals for changing the sounding rhythm, and terminals for synchronizing with other horns or lights (or a centralized master coder)
- 2-hour temporary silence control for technicians; the horn returns to its designated code after the time-out
